Poem 'Farewell'
Farewell my laddie
I shall see thee no more
As I now part
Travel to a distant shore.

Farewell my brother,
We each fought side by side
And as each fell
They carved their names with pride,

Farewell comrade, a member
Of our Clan
Where shall our children and women
Go, for they have each lost a man,

Farewell Father, brother,
Uncle or son, for on this
Day, this deed had to be done,

Farewell my country
Scotland , land of my
For we have shared a lifetime
Together, of sorrow and mirth.

Farewell my people
Each proud to bear the name
I bid ye each farewell
We fought and died without
